Happy International Forest Day!

Here’s a poem for all those trees providing us oxygen on this wonderful day and for many years…

Oh mighty trees,

you sway left and right.

Your branches sometimes fly like frisbees,

but no problem, you grow them right back with sufficient light.

With photosynthesis you suck in carbon and make oxygen and food,

but we humans take you for granted.

Deforestation spreads like a disease and ruins your mood,

but don’t worry we will fight for your recovery once we have collaborated.

Oh mighty trees,

please endure whatever pain you may have now.

We will fix the problem as quickly as we can,

but sacrifices have been made and we must give a bow.
